This ornate lettering piece is a special mural I created for Clark Stanley’s office. I designed, drew, hand lettered, and vectorized every detail of this Victorian meets Western style piece to represent the company’s tagline and unique visual aesthetic. The fascinating mix of these two worlds inspired me with the beautiful ornamentation, odd curiosities, vintage circus shows, bold and playful lettered advertisements, textured woodblock illustrations, and last but not least snake imagery. (Clark Stanley was the real “Rattlesnake King” who sold snake oil starting in 1893.) In the end, I wanted this mural to tell the Clark Stanley story in a visually interesting way that brought life and charm to the originally bland space.
